BPD Investigate Early Afternoon Shooting

Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives are investigating an early afternoon shooting that sent one man to the hospital. The shooting happened right around 1:40pm at 326 West Delavan. The victim apparently was standing outside when two suspects attempted to rob him. The suspects shot the victim at least once in the upper body area.

Late Monday afternoon, Chief of Detectives, Dennis J. Richards, identified the victim as 31 year old Timothy Pierce Jr. of Buffalo. He was taken to ECMC where he's expected to survive.

The two suspects have been described as black males; one about 6'1 and the other suspect about 5'6. Chief Richards said the two suspects fled in a vehicle. That vehicle is described as a light blue or gray Buick Century.
