BPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Suspect in July Murder
Public Provides Key Information in the InvestigationBuffalo Police Homicide Detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a West Side man. Homicide Detectives have arrested 20 year old Mario Vasquez of Buffalo and charged him with Murder in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the death of Henry Figueroa of Buffalo. Police believe the 29 year old victim was shot as he was walking in the 100 block of Whitney Place at around 1:30pm, July 10th. Following the incident, an immediate investigation was commenced by homicide squad detectives. With the help of the public, detectives were able to arrest Vasquez Thursday afternoon. Detective Sgt. Daniel Rinaldo and Detectives Mary Gugliuzza, Michael Acquino and Michael Mordino led the investigation.
