Buffalo police are investigating a late morning armed bank robbery in the 1400 block of Fillmore Avenue.

Police believe the two suspects entered the HSBC Bank at 1423 Fillmore Avenue just after 11am.

It appears that once inside the bank, one of the suspects did demand money from one of the employees at gunpoint.

It doesn't appear that anyone was injured and the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Most of the money was recovered a short time later by Buffalo police, outside of the bank, in a vacant lot in the 700 block of Glenwood Avenue.

At the time of the robbery, it doesn't appear that any customers were inside the bank.

The suspects are described as two black males: one about 5'9, 280 lbs, wearing a gray skull cap, black ski mask, brown bomber jacket and dark blue pants.

The second suspect is described as: about 5'7, 180 lbs., wearing a black hooded jacket and light colored pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Confidential TIPCALL Line at 847-2255.
