BPD Arrest Two in Fatal Christmas Morning Shooting

Buffalo Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the Christmas morning shootings of 18 year old Sarah Ernst and 19 year old Breion Collins.

Police have arrested 18 year old Miguel Toro-Torres of Pennsylvania St. and a 15 year old male juvenile from West Avenue. Both are charged with second degree murder and second degree attempted murder. The juvenile is being charged as an adult.

The incident occurred Christmas morning at approximately 2:20am in the 100 block of 14th Street. Detectives believe the two victims were getting in their vehicle when the suspects came upon them and began shooting.

The victims did drive a short distance to the 200 block of Albany St. 18 year old Sarah Ernst of West Seneca died at the scene. Breion Collins, of Buffalo, was taken to ECMC where he continues to recover from his wounds.

Leading the investigation was Detective Sgt. Jonathan Walton along with Detectives Patrick Judge, Antonio Borrelli, Noreen Walsh and Mary Evans.
