BPD Arrest Two in School Burglary
Buffalo police have arrested two individuals in connection with a burglary at Riverside High School, located on Ontario Street.
Northwest District police responded to a "burglary in progress" call right around 8:15pm Monday evening, April 20th. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the two suspects apparently had used a ladder to enter the school through a window. Once inside the building, the two did damage parts of the school, including a door. The two attempted to fllee but were apprehended a short time later by D District officers. Police have arrested 16 year old Wesley Embry of Buffalo and charged him with burglary in the 3rd degree and criminal mischief. The second suspect is a 13 year old male. His case is being handled as a juvenile. The arresting officers were, Thomas Sercu and Robert Yeates. If anyone witnesses a crime in progress, you're urged to immediately call 9-1-1.
