BPD Searching for Suspect in Attempted Robbery

Buffalo police are releasing surveillance photos of an attempted robbery that occurred this past Saturday afternoon, January 16th on Allen Street.

Police say the incident happened at around 2pm at Bill's Food Mart located at 32 Allen Street near Main St.

Detectives believe the suspect, described as a black male, between 180-200 lbs., muscular build and short curly black hair, entered the store and attempted to grab an undisclosed amount of money from a store owner.

A struggle ensued between the two, with the owner suffering lacerations to his head area.

It appears the suspect then fled from the store with out getting any money.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Confidential TIPCALL Line at 847-2255.
