Breaking News: Bank Robbery Suspect Caught

BREAKING NEWS: Buffalo police have arrested an individual believed to be responsible  for a number of recent city bank robberies, and one attempted robbery.

Police arrested 43 year old Joseph Licata of Buffalo in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November30th, following a tip to the department's Confidential TIPCALL Line.

Officers apprehended Licata at a motel located on Grand Island Boulevard.

At this time, Licata is charged with the M&T Bank robbery on Grant Street on November 22nd.  He's also charged with the attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America on Elmwood Avenue on Monday morning, November 29th.

Police believe the same individual is linked to those recent incidents: plus a Key Bank robbery that occurred on Friday, November 26th, at the branch located at 52 Amherst St and an HSBC bank hold-up on November 24th.
