Cameras Catch Suspected Vehicle In April 1st Homicide

Buffalo police are releasing City Surveillance video of a vehicle that might've been used in connection with a homicide on April 1st of this year.

The incident occurred around 12:30pm Thursday afternoon, April 1st, in the 1400 block of Fillmore Avenue.

Detectives believe the victim, 27 year old Thomas Garland Jr. of Buffalo was near the sidewalk area when a vehicle apparently pulled up and an unknown suspect opened fire.

Garland was rushed to ECMC but died a short time later.

Police are releasing a photo of a green Pontiac Bonneville with a sunroof that may be tied to the shooting.

The video comes from one of the City Surveillance Cameras that are installed throughout the City.
