BPD Investigate First Homicide of 2011

Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the city's first homicide of 2011 after the victim was found dead in his apartment.

Police were called to an address on Mary B. Talbert Blvd., in the vicinity of Clinton and Spring Streets, at around 9am Monday, January 10th after the body was discovered by family members checking on his welfare.

The victim has been identified as 61 year old Paul Andreson Sr., who apparently lived alone.

"The victim had not been heard from since sometime on Friday", according to Chief of Detectives, Dennis J. Richards.

Richards added, "There were no signs of forced entry of the residence, yet there were signs that a burglary took place. Homicide Detectives are continuing the investigation, attempting to find out who last spoke with the victim and what property might've been  taken".
