Home » Press Releases » 2011 News Archive » BPD Arrest Two in West Side Deli Robbery BPD Arrest Two in West Side Deli RobberyBuffalo police have arrested two suspects in connection with a deli robbery Wednesday night, December 29th, on the city's West Side. The incident happened just after 7:30pm at a deli located in the 200 block of West Ferry. Police have arrested 25 year old Armando Torres of Buffalo and 23 year old Tyrone Bradley Jr., also of Buffalo. Torres is charged with multiple counts of robbery in the 1st degree, attempted assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon and other charges. Bradley is also charged with multiple counts of robbery in the 1st degree and conspiracy. Police say the two , along with one outstanding suspect, entered the store and began assaulting the store owner and one other individual. before making off with an undisclosed amount of money. It appears the individuals were armed with some type of handgun and a hammer. One of the suspects apparently swung a hammer at the head of one of the officers while he was fleeing the store. Two individuals were apprehended a short time later, one on Barton Street and the other on Breckenridge. Police recovered some or all of the money and may've also recovered the two weapons. The Internal Affairs Division of the Buffalo Police Department continues to investigate the possibility an officer discharged his weapon during the robbery incident. It appears no one was struck. Officers from B, D, MRU and the Violent Crime Impact Team all assisted in the arrest of the two individuals. |
